At Vietnam Solar Power Expo 2019 Hexagon Peak and NSN Vietnam agree on developing rooftop solar in Vietnam. NSN connected the very first solar farm in Vietnam on September 25th 2018 - the 48 MW TTC Phong Dien Solar Power Plant. With 16 years of experience in construction, EPC general contracting, and M&E contracting for industrial and civil projects, transmission lines, design, and construction capabilities for high-tech projects such as clean rooms and medical equipment factories, NSN has great plans for solar and we are excited about working together.
In another milestone event, on September 16, Hexagon Peak entered a strategic agreement with DAT Solar to develop, build and operate a C&I pipeline of factories around Ho Chi Minh City. DAT Technology is a leading provider of products and solutions for the Vietnamese market in Drives-Automation, Elevator controls, Electric power and the most established distributor of Solar power equipment in the country.
Hexagon Peak and VuPhong Solar, one of the strongest EPC contractors in Vietnam with experience in Engineering and Construction of over 1 GWp of utility scale and C&I projects in the country, enter a strategic partnership to develop and build 200 MW by 2022.
Hexagon Peak enters in a cooperation agreement with Lithaco for the development of 50 MW of C&I projects in Southern Vietnam. Established in 2008, Lithaco started as a Mechanical and Electrical sub-contractor, involved in various notable construction projects including Bitexco Financial Tower, Ho Tram Casino, JW Marriott Phu Quoc, etc. Having a team of 30 engineers and over 200 seasonal construction workers, the company has completed over 1,000 rooftop solar projects for residential and industrial clients, with project size ranging from 3 kWp to 1 MWp.
Tell us about Hexagon Peak
Hexagon Peak is a solar development and IPP platform, created to consolidate small project developers and their project pipelines into one, bigger pipeline, through acquisitions and partnerships in long-term and strategic solar markets, such as Japan, China, South Korea, Taiwan and Australia. We have established the holding company in Singapore only a month ago and we are targeting a confirmed pipeline of 50 MW within 2019 itself. The core Mission of Hexagon Peak is creating trust and longevity in all partnerships we enter, where we apply our values of establishing honest and pragmatic relationships.
A hexagon is the most efficient, least wasteful shape found in nature. The compressive characteristics of the shape allow it to be one of the strongest structures in the world - no other shape can create more space with less material. And this is exactly the strategy we will be applying at Hexagon Peak - creating the most opportunities out of our partnerships with most optimised resource.
